Why stay here?
A 17th-century Galician manor house in the heart of Cambados, ideal for travelers building the Rías Baixas around wine, seafood and short coastal drives.
Why it stands out
The appeal is not monumental scale but regional character: a Galician pazo in the middle of one of the Rías Baixas’ best food-and-wine towns.
How long to stay
Two nights works especially well for winery visits, seafood and a slower estuary-focused itinerary.
Best route role
Use Cambados between Pontevedra and Santiago, or pair it with Baiona for a dedicated Rías Baixas chapter.
A Galician pazo in the center of Cambados
The Parador occupies the former Pazo de Bazán, a 17th-century country house adapted around a courtyard, stone arcades and traditional Galician architectural details.
The scale is more intimate than Galicia’s great monastery and palace Paradores. Cambados feels less ceremonial and more like a comfortable historic base embedded in the town and wine country.
Albariño country on the Ría de Arousa
Cambados is one of the most natural bases for exploring the Rías Baixas. The old town is immediately accessible, while O Grove, A Toxa, Pontevedra and other estuary communities are close enough for unhurried day trips.
More about the stay
The former, Pazo de Bazán, was an ancestral mansion built in the 17th Century; it is located on the green landscapes of the Rías Baixas, on the Ría de Arousa. The Gallegan coast is dotted with leafy pine trees, beaches and numerous country houses.
The Parador is in the centre of the small village of Cambados, only a short distance from the Isla de la Toxa. It has a pretty interior courtyard with and outstanding arcade and fountain, as well as a slender palm tree.
It also has pleasant and light bedrooms with accommodating furniture. The other rooms feature stone columns, wooden ceilings and beams, as well as the gardens and an inviting swimming pool.
The restaurant serves local ingredients such as the breaded cockles, sole cooked in Albariño wine and seafood.

Regional flavor
There are many types of empanadas (breaded dishes). But none like the Gallegan variety. The best of all is the breaded cockles. You can also enjoy delicious seafood and fish dishes such as lenguado al Albariño (sole cooked in Albariño wine).
